Sellings Cup (2026 Report)

This Cup is played for annually, in a Triples match that takes place between the Mermaid v Rother Bowls Leagues.

There are usually 6 teams from each League playing for this coverted

trophy.

This all takes place on a mid-summers evening, followed by refreshments

that have been kindly prepared by the host club.

After the match, both the players & visitors were kindly served with sandwiches & cakes by the host club Gullivers. Our thanks go to the Club & their volunteers for looking after everyone so well.

The playing conditions were perfect, a warm summers evening with a gentle breeze. The Green was in excellent condition, considering the very hot weather we have been having this summer.

This year the Rother League took the upper hand in four of the six triples that were played and won the overall match and regained the trophy back again.

On behalf of the Mermaid League we would like to congratulate the Rother Players on their win. We look forward to next year, when we hope that we can return it to our trophy cabinet!!
